Saddam Hussein’s Execution Was A Bad Thing.

His execution was a bad thing… Do you believe this garbage?  This is what some major news outlets have been saying for the past week or however long it’s been since he was hanged (Yes, hanged).  Why?  Because it was barbaristic, medieval and in bad taste… And the US was wrong for letting it happen!

Mmmm, hello?  He killed how many hundred of thousands?  Used chemical weapons on how many kurd towns/cities?  It’s not like a militia found him and strung him up.  We found him in a hole, cleaned him up, the Iraqi Government tried, convicted, sentenced and executed him… Personally, I say way to go!  Good work on that one.  How it’s a bad thing?  I have no idea.  Because one party (I believe the Sunni’s) are pissed that he’s gone and throwing riots… Yes, that sucks, but it’s always going to happen, especially in such an unstable environment.  It was still the right thing to do.

And to say that this is somehow America or George Bush’s fault is just ridiculoius.  The same people that blame the US and Bush for not intervening are the same people that say we need to pull out and let Iraq run their Country themselves.

Texas Pizzeria taking Pesos?

Patron’s Pizzeria is accepting Pesos through February… They say it’s because people come back from Mexico and have left over Pesos and they want to be a convenient place for them to shop.  Are you going to cash my check, too?  You know, since you’re being a bank and all.

What I think they meant to say was, “People come from Mexico [illegaly] and can’t get American money to feed their families and we want to make it easier for them to do so.”

It’s too bad the Democrats control the House or we’d get money to build a wall down there.

Heh, heh.

Is it wrong to laugh at other’s misfortunes?  Not when they bring it upon themselves it isn’t!

Michigan:
In Detroit, a 41-year-old man got stuck and drowned in two feet of water after squeezing head first through an 18-inch-wide sewer grate to retrieve his car keys.

California:
A 49-year-old San Francisco stockbroker, who “totally zoned when he ran,”—accidentally jogged off a 100-foot-high cliff on his daily run.

North Carolina:
Buxton, NC: A man died on a beach when an 8-foot-deep hole he had dug into the sand caved in as he sat inside it. Beach-goers said Daniel Jones, 21, dug the hole for fun, or protection from the wind, and had been sitting in a beach chair at the bottom Thursday afternoon when it collapsed, burying him beneath 5 feet of sand.

People on the beach on the outer banks, used their hands and shovels, trying to claw their way to Jones, a resident of Woodbridge, VA, but could not reach him. It took rescue workers using heavy equipment almost an hour to free him while about 200 people looked on. Jones was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Proceeds go to Fight AIDS in Africa!

What’s with these commercials saying that proceeds go to help the fight with AIDS in Africa?  I know AIDS is a big problem in Africa, but we’ve got some big problems here in the US, too.

Does a company really think i’m going to buy their product so I can help Africa fight AIDS?  I’m actually less inclined to buy their product after hearing that… You know what it makes me think?  “Great, they raised the price $2 on every product and are going to donate $1 of it to Africa to help fight AIDS.” I’d be more inclined to spend that extra $2 if it was to help the homeless in America or donated to battered women’s shelters in America or something along those lines.

Call me selfish or whatever you want to call me, but i’m more concerned about America than AIDS in Africa.

?Happy? New Year.

Is it going to be a good year?  Personally, yes, i’m sure it will be wonderful.  Things have started off great so far, although I didn’t get any of my ”1Q FY07 Goals” accomplished.  But hey, what can you do?  Things came up.

I earned a promotion and because of that they made me do a whole bunch of work to get ready for it… And i’m still going through it 6 months later.  But it goes with the territory and when it kicks in it will be a nice pay raise.

I was just checking out some information on the new Speaker of The House, Nancy Pelosi, because I heard she was an extreme liberal and wanted to make sure it wasn’t true.  Guess what?  It’s true.  She’s a far left Democrat.  Yay for us… Heh.

I’ve read her Gun Control record - Mmm… Let’s just say I don’t agree and leave it at that?

One thing I do agree with her on, though, is the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act.  I haven’t read all the details, but the general outline of it seems to be something that should’ve been in place since the beginnings of the American Government.

I mean, if a college athlete can’t except money or gifts from anyone, whether it’s for their accomplishments on the field of play or not, why can a Politician?

So it’s with that thought that I leave you with a quote from the Man himself, “Why am I showing you a picture of Chewbacca?  It does not make any sense.”
