Poor Little Flower.
We live in a world where all of the beautiful flowers are safely ignorant to the dangers that things like weed wackers, lawn mowers and even shoe's pose to them. They bloom happily and curl up tightly at night, smiling to themselves as they try to keep warm. On this lawn, they are safe and happy. They fear nothing, they have nothing to fear.

Ahh, across town though, there's a beautiful little Vinca flower and his Vinca flower buddies. They were all bundled together, blooming together, growing up together. Looking forward to the rest of their Vinca lives, happily nestled in the grasses of a backyard. They, though, are not ignorant to the dangerous to them. They have seen the weed wackers and the lawn mowers - They have seen how dangerously it has come to them somtimes, so close to ending their lives.

The Ape Story.
I heard this story at work yesterday and I thought it was pretty funny. They were relating it to how and why some things are done as they are in the Military. I'm relating it to how and why things are the way they are in our Government.

Enjoy.

Short and Sweet.
I wish the rest of the World would realize what Prince Bandar obviously knows already. He stated that the actions of those American Soldiers on the Iraqi prisoners were horrible, however they do not represent the majority of American soldiers or what they stand for. They also don't represent the spirit or feelings of the American people as a whole.

Note: The above is more of a paraphrase than a quote. wink

Nick Berg.
A friend of mine tonight asked me what my opinion of the whole Nick Berg situation was. I'm going to post the conversation, because I don't feel like retyping all his questions and my answers. So below is the appropriate parts of the conversation, with his screen name edited, of course.

The Syrian Sanctions.
Comments are regarding this article.

It's about time we put sanctions on Syria. I wish they were more strict than they are at the moment, though. However, it is just the first step, so I suppose it's a good start. I'm a bit upset about the "telecommunications equipment" that he made exempt from the sanctions, however, he's trying to hurt the US economy as little as possible.

If Syria doesn't make any strong effort in the direction they said they would, I sincerely hope we cut off ALL exports to them - To include food and medical supplies. If you're going to continue to support terrorists that kill and harm innocent people in America and across the world, then you don't need any help from us.

Maturity.
Maturity isn't something that comes with age, contrary to popular belief. It usually takes some experience to bring it on, but again, experience isn't something that comes with age.

Definition of maturity? I don't know exactly how to put it into words and i'm not going to take the time to try, but I can point out some examples of what is not mature.

It is not mature to debate/argue with someone and then get upset and delete any "history" that the debate/argument ever went on.

It is not mature to think the decisions you and your family make are the "best" decisions and the "right" decision for everyone. Just because you make them doesn't mean that other different decisions aren't the "right" and "best" ones for them.

It is not mature to say, "You're younger than me, you're just hopping on the bandwagon, you'll see when you get older." Because age doesn't make you smarter or "right" when something is based on opinions.

It is not mature to remove someone's link from your website (and your Husband's) because you had a heated debate/argument whatever you want to call it with them and they didn't agree with you.

Those things, folks, are signs of immaturity. And Maturity does not come with age.

Handicapped Drivers…
Just some information for all you Handicap Drivers out there: Having a little man in a wheelchair on your license plate does not give you the right to drive like a moron. It is not a sign that's supposed to say, "Watch out for me, i'm handicapped and I can't drive to save my life, which is probably the reason I am handicapped, because I caused an accident and ruined my spine."

It's meant so that you can have "priority parking" that is closer to the store so the spine you ruined by your horrid driving doesn't have to walk as far as those of us who have thus far survived our driving experiences.
