US Citizenship and Voting Rights.
When I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, my Mom applied for Citizenship in this Country. When I was in 8th grade, she got it. Immediately after, she applied for my citizenship. When I was in 10th or 11th grade, I forget which, my Mom and StepDad took me down into New York City so I could be Naturalized - Given my Citizenship. Unfortunately, both of my Brother's were now over the age of 18 and they now have to do all those years of paper work and running to whatever Naturalization Government Building is closer for interviews and all that.

But i'm not as concerned with the Citizenship as I am the Right that you get to vote when you "earn" that Citizenship. You see, I can vote, i'm a Citizen. However, Resident Aliens can't vote, and my brother, Dave, is a Resident Alien. He also serves proudly in the US Navy, and he has so for... Oh, almost 8 years, so he voluntarily reenlisted. Last time he was out to sea, he was out on the USS Lincoln (which he is every time) and he was out for I think over 12 months, away from his Fiance at the time and their two wonderful children.

Our DSL Speed.
We have DSL, and it's not terribly slow, but at times it does get slow. With our previous cable modem (in VA, before we moved to AZ) I could download 2 or 3 things at decent speeds before Rachel would notice any slow down whatsoever. Even at that, the slow down as minimal and she didn't mind, it was only when I downloaded 5 things that she got annoyed.

Well, with our DSL here, if i'm downloading anything it's noticeable. It's hardly bearable with 1 download going, let alone 3. At 3 it's slower than AOL 9.0 Dial up on a Commodore 64. So I was looking at Qwest's website (that's our DSL provider) and saw that under our plan, we should be getting "up to" 1.5Mbps downstream/896Kbps upstream. I was astonished, because downloading from a T3 with no other connections on it, I MIGHT get 33kbps if i'm lucky. Now slap my ass and call my Suzy, but that seems a bit "below average" to me.

So I called Qwest's Tech Support today and the lady was very nice, eventhough it seemed as if she was repeating my questions on to a help forum then repeating the answers back to me. She told me to go to dslreports.com (in computer baby talk, which I HATE, but I understand they have to do it for most people). So, eventhough i've been there before many times, I went and did the test from two different servers. She says to me, "Oh, 512, well you're only guaranteed up to 640, so that's pretty good."

Then I went on to explain to her that the web site said 1.5Mbps/896kbps and there was no mention of 640kbps anywhere on their site. So she looked around for a bit and then told me that in March they upgraded and were now offering the 1.5Mbps plan. She told me to call the main office and see if they could upgrade me, since the price was the same.

Kerry released edited Military records?
Back in the 30's we tried to ignore what was going on in the world while some guy by the name of Adolf was running over the eastern hemisphere. You see, in the 30's America was largely anti-war, no one wanted to get involved in what was happening across the water, regardless of what was happening, I mean who really cared that Hitler had taken over Manchuria and Austria and that Mussolini had Ethiopia.

FDR couldn't get involved, not too publicly anyway, because he was afraid of the Political ramifications that may be bestowed upon him from all of the anti-war American people. The most he could do was to condemn the actions of Germany and France, of Hitler and Mussolini.

We waited until we were attacked by Japan to get involved into WWII. We were selfish, too selfish. Horrible damage had already been done to a large part of the world and it was because we were too selfish.

Wonder where this came from?

You see, this is basically, what I get from Kerry. He wants to be selfish and ignore the rest of the world for a little while. He wants to look after and take care of good old number 1 for a while. I agree with that to a point. I think we need to focus more on ourselves sometimes than other countries. We need to spend some money on ourselves and not on them. We need to be selfish sometimes.

If we're too selfish, though, we're going to end up in WWIII. And that, I believe is what would've happened if we hadn't taken out Saddam when we did.

Does Kerry Remind You Of Someone, too?
I was reading this article at rightvoices.com, and it struck me what... Or who should I say... No, it's a what. It struck me as to what Sen. John Kerry reminds me of.

Tutorials and stuff..
I got my Tutorials working finally. Still don't really know what was wrong with them, it doesn't make sense how I fixed them, but whatever. They're working now. Enjoy.

When everything is wrong…
I know that I mess up quite a bit. I'm not a perfect Husband by any means. I don't always call when I should, not because I don't want to, but because I forget to. I don't tell her I love her as much as I should... No, I don't show her I love her as much as I should, and not because I don't want to, but because I have a hard time thinking of ways to do it.

I know I could do things like buy her a card and flowers or something like that, but when I try to think of things, they slip my mind. I'm just horrible at making her feel special. I love her to death, and I wish I could make her feel the way I used to make her feel, because as of late i'm doing a horrible job at it.

We're out here alone, without any of her family which she misses dearly. She doesn't get to talk to them that often, with the exception of her one Sister, and I know she misses her nieces and her nephew horribly.

I don't think I do too many things right for her. She's not happy and it's obviously my fault. So I need to change, a lot. I changed for a little while, but now i'm back to the way I used to be, just kind of going through life with a complacent attitude towards some things. One of them being my beautiful wife, which while it's the most important thing to me and I know it, I also know that it doesn't come across that way to her, which it should. It needs to or else it's going to hurt her. If she doesn't know that she's the most important thing to me, then she might as well not be the most important thing to me, because it's not doing her any good.

So I wanted to tell you that I love you and I am sorry. From now on i'm going to be more considerate to you and i'm going to show you. I know you're thinking right now, "Prove it to me," so I'm going to. I will prove to you all over again that I love you and I want you.

I love you, Rachel, forever. It makes me happier than words could express that you married me and came with me to Arizona. Thank you.

“Vote for anyone but Bush!”
And stick your thumb up your ass while you're at it.

Sorry, but i'm just so sick and tired of hearing, "Vote for anyone but Bush!" It's ridiculous. Yeah, Nader, he's a good choice. Why not just vote Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton?

No, wait, here's a better idea. Let's vote for Dan Quayle! That way we can get some comedy over the next four years (if you want to read some comedy by Dan Quayle, click the read more link below).

Bush has done some things I don't agree with, it's not like I think the guy is God or something. He's also done some things that if you take them out of context and look at that single item, then sure, they seem wrong and unbelievable. However, if you look back in history things start to make sense.

History is the best teacher. If you don't study History and learn from it, you may as well kill your idea now. If Hitler had studied history a little harder, he would've taken over Russia, do you think he regretted that before he decided to shoot himself? Yeah, me too.

GW is doing things that his administration, THE GOVERNMENT AS A WHOLE, and himself believe is going to be best for this Country. The morale, the economy, and the overall status of the United States. They (I say they, because believe it or not, the Government is not completely run by GW ... I'd go off on a Checks and Balances tangent here, but I already have before, and no one cares).

Anyway, i'm just gonna stop here 'cause no one reads/cares when I write about Politics and I already know what I think. So whatever, enjoy the Dan Quayle (mis)quotes, heh.
