Ok, so Senator Kerry wants an "Ask-and-Tell" Military. Eh! Not gonna work. Can't have open gays in the Military. Won't work, sorry. It's not going to work, not because they're gay, personally I couldn't give two shits if someone is gay or straight or bi or whatever they want to call themselves. However, there are too many people in the military who DO care if people are gay and who won't take orders from gay people for no reason other than the fact that they're gay.
It sounds stupid, and I think it is. If we lived in a world where people could be openly gay and not have to worry about people making fun of them or whatever, that'd be great. But in the Military we still have to deal with RACIST people. I mean give me a break. Racism in 2004? Shit, there's no reason to be racist still, but people are still making comments. I hear this and I've only been in the Military for a year. I mean, shit.
People can't even deal with Racism in the Military, something that as a whole, our country has had to deal with since it's birth... Now Kerry wants to have open gays in senior positions? NOT GONNA WORK MR. SENATOR. Like I said before, I don't give a damn if people senior to me or gay. They're senior to me for a reason, because they've been promoted and generally deserve to be there. I'm not the only one in the Military, though, and my view is far from the norm. Especially with young guys in the Military, for some reason a lot of young people in general have the view of "Gay people are inferior,"... And that's why they're young, I guess, because they're stupid... But oh well.
Ask-and-Tell - Stupid Idea... Oh, and having the view he has on terrorism... The view that's basically the same thing Spain's soon to be in power Government is saying, "Attacking terrorism will just cause more terrorism, so leave it alone." Wrong, sorry, wrong again. Have a nice day, Senator Kerry.
